At a Meeting of the Committee for Paving Elected
and appointed pursuant to an Act of Parliament
in the Vestry Room of Saint Clement Danes the
4th August 1775

PresentMr. Jonesin the Chair
Mr. RainforthMr Roberts.
Mr Stichall

The Minutes of the last Meeting read and confirmed

Mr. Ireland and Mr Rainforth having in pursuance of the request
of the last Committee meeting viewed and now returning as their
Opinion that nothing is necessary to be done in Clare Court
but that it is proper some part of Gilberts Passage should be
taken up to carry off the Water Ordered that the same be
forthwith done by Mr. Meredith and that Mr. Rainforth and
Mr Ireland be requested to inspect the doing thereof And the said
Gentlemen Reporting that a Repair is wanting in the
footway of Clements Lane Ordered that the same be done

Mr Nixon the Inspector being Sworn Returns that a
Stone is wanting to be Relaid in Hemlock Court Ordered that
the same be forthwith done

Ordered that Messrs Balchen and Lucas have notice that
unless they attend this Committee on this day fortnight
relative tothe Lamps being improperly lighted
this Committee will take legal Steps under their Contract

Adjourned to the 18th Instant at
six o'Clock
