and appointed pursuant to an Act of Parliament
in the Vestry Room of Saint Clement Danes the 9th day
of June 1774

The Minutes of the last Meeting read and confirmed

In Pursuance of the Statute this Committee met and made and
signed a Rate or Assessment of One Shilling in the Pound upon [..]
and every Person or Persons who inhabit hold use occupy possess or enjoy any Land [..]
House Shop Wharf Warehouse Coach house Stable Cellar Vault Building Tenement
Hereditament whatsoever within this Parish except those Paved under the optional [..]
for the Purposes of Repairing Cleansing and Lighting the several Squares Streets
and other Places and for other purposes in the said Act mentioned such Rate being accord [..]
to such Proportion of the Yearly Rent or value as the same was Assessed to the Re [..]
for the Relief of the Poor within this Parish for the year one thousand seven
hundred and Seventy. Also at the same time made and Signed a further Rate of
Assessment of Six pence in the Pound upon all and every Person or Persons before
mentioned who inhabit hold use occupy possess or enjoy any Land Ground House S [..]
Wharf Warehouse Coach house Stable Cellar Vault Building Tenement or Hered [..]
Whatsoever (except as aforesaid) or such part thereof as upon this day are Paved by
of an Act or Acts made in the 2d.3d. 4th. 5th. 6th. or 7th. Years of his present Majestys
so far as the same Pavements so compleated do extend. Also at the same time and
Signed one other Rate or Assessment of six pence for every Square Yard of Pavement
belonging to all and every Parish Churches Church Yards Chapels Meeting House
Schools Inns of Chancery Halls Societys Marketts Warehouses Wharfs Dead W [..]
Void Spaces of Ground and other Publick Buildings Whatsoever within the said Parish
which are not charged by virtue of the said Act of the Eleventh Year of his Present
Majesty by the Pound Rate or otherwise all which said Rates or Assessments [..]
Commence and are to be accounted from Lady Day last for One year thence next
ensuing.

Seven of the Committee Executed the Contracts agreed to be Entred into a
last Meeting with Alexander Anderson< no role > for Scavengers Work William Meredith< no role >
Thomas Lovatt< no role > for Paving and also the Agreement between the said Committee
the said Meredith and Lovatt for Repairs and the agreement between the sd. Committee
and Charles Lane< no role > for Painting Lamp Irons.
