(to wit) Mary Johnson< no role > This name instance is in set 675. This set is in the group(s): MothersCD . Aged twenty years &
upwards Upon her Oath saith that she never
was Married that She lived as an hired
yearly Servant with Mr Thomas Huxley< no role > in Fountain
Court in the parish of St Clement Danes in the said
County of Middx and Liberty of Westminster for
fifteen Months [..] (wanting only about fourteen days) at
the yearly Wages of Six pounds that she quitted
that Serviceaboon or about the Eleventh day of
April last and since hath not obtained any
Subsequent legal Settlement And this Deponent
further upon her Voluntary Oath Saith that she is now pregnant
with a Child or Children which is or are likely to
be Born a Bastard or Bastards and to become
chargeable to the said parish of St Clement Danes
And also upon her said Voluntary Oath saith that
Joseph Brassington an Apprentice to the said Mr
Thomas Huxley< no role > is the only real and true father of
such Child or Children wherewith she is so pregnant as
aforesaid he having had Carnal Knowledge of this Deponents Body
some time in the Month of March last and at several
times since at one of which times he did beget the
Child or Children of which she is so pregnant thereon
And last that no other person whatever [..] (except
the said Joseph Brassington) hath ever [..]
[..] had Carnal Knowledge of this Deponents Body
