to wit Susannah Norton< no role > This name instance is in set 625. This set is in the group(s): MothersCD . aged about 23
years upon her Oath saith that she never was married
bound an Apprentice lived as a hired yearly servant
for one year or ever Rented any house Tenement
or Lodging of Ten Pounds a year or paid Taxes That
her Father & Mother Rented and lived in a house in
Church Yard Alley in the Parish of Saint Clement
Dunstan in the West in the City of London for two Years
and upwards at the yearly Rent of Fifteen Pounds
and that after they quitted said house they never did
any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement And further
this Examinant upon her Oath saith that on the 16th.
day of March last past she this Examinant upon
was delivered of a Male Bastard Child at the house
of a Mr. Nurse in Vere Street in the Parish of Saint
Clement Danes which hath since been half
baptized by the Name of Joseph< no role > That one John Brown< no role >
a Journeyman Taylor who did lodge at Mr. Rotherys [..]
Arundel Street and did Work in Golden Square is the
father thereof he having had carnal knowledge of
this Examinants Body sometime in the Month
of June last and at several times since at one
of which times he did beget the said Child of which she
was so delivered as aforesaid and that the said John
Brown
< no role > is the only real and true father thereof.
