to wit Sophia Hallywell< no role > This name instance is in set 598. This set is in the group(s): MothersCD . aged about 23 years
upon her Oath saith that she never was married
that she lived as a hired yearly Servant with
Mr. Froome in Hart Street Bloomsbury in the
Parish of Saint George Bloomsbury in the County
of Middlesex for 12 Months and upwards at the
yearly Wages of £5 that she hath quitted said
Service upwards of 3 years since which time she
has not lived as a hired yearly Servant for one
year or done any Act to gain a Subsequent
Settlement And further this Examinant
upon her Oath saith that on the 13th. day of
Janry . last she was delivered of a Female Bastard
Child at the House of a Mrs. Davis No. 14 Great
Shire Lane in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes
which hath since been Baptized by the Name
of Mary Ann< no role > that one John Sanford< no role > an Ostler
who lives with a Mr. Bishop a Horse Dealer in
Mount Street Grosvenor Square is the father
thereof he having had Carnal knowledge of
this Examinants Body for these two years
last past and begotten the said Child of
which she was so delivered as aforesaid [..]
and that he is the only real & true father thereof
