to wit Sarah Russell< no role > aged about 23 years upon her
Oath saith that she never was married Rented House
or paid Taxes that she lived as a hired yearly Servant
with one Mr.Thos. Burton< no role > Sheriffs Officer in Houghton
Street Clare Markett in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes
in the County of Middx for 16 Months at the yearly
Wages of £6-that she hath quitted her said Service
about 11 months since which time she has not done
any Act to gain a Subsequent Settlement And further
this Examinant upon her Voluntary Oath saith that she
is pregnant with Child or Children which is or are
likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards and to become
Chargeable to the said Parish And further that one
Edward Groombridge< no role > who lives at his Fathers at
Richmond Carpenter is the father of such Child or
Children of which she this Examt. is so pregnant he
having had Carnal knowledge of this Exts. Body
sometime in the Month of Janry. last and at sevl. times
since at one of which times he did beget the said Child
or Children of which she is so Pregnant and that the
said Edward Groombridge< no role > is the only real and true
father thereof
