Mary Baker< no role > Aged about Twenty Seven Years on her
Oath Says she never was Married nor ever Rented House
or paid Taxes Says she lived a hired Yearly Servant with
Mrs. Gibson the Parish Nurse in Old Boswell Court in the
Parish of St. Clement Danes in the sd. Liberty of Westmr.
for 4 Years and upwards at the Yearly Wages of £4..10s..0d
hath quitted her sd. Service about 10 Months ago & hath not
since quitting the same ever Rented House or pd Taxes
And further upon her Voluntary Oath says she is
pregnant with Child or Children which is or are likely to
be born a Bastard or Bastards & to become Chargable
to the sd. Parish she being poor and unable to maintain the
same when Born Says that one John Capell< no role > a Journeyman
Shoemaker who lately lodged at his Father in Grays Inn
Lane had Carnal Knowledge of her Body sometime in Febry
last but the Particular day she cannot setforth & at several
different times afterwards at one of which times he got her
with Child of the Child or Children of which she is now
pregnant as afsd: and that the sd. John Capell< no role > & no other
person did beget the same
