Prudence Meredith< no role > aged about 24 years Lodging
in Mr. Poole's Tenements in the Strand in the Parish of St.
Clement Danes and County of Middx upon Oath saith she
never was Married or bound an Apprentice, That she lived a
hired yearly Servant with Mr. Hawkes a Brazier the
Corner of Surry Street in the Strand in the said Parish of
St. Clement Danes for one year & upwards at the yearly
Wages of £4 quitted the same about Four years and hath
not since rented any House or been a hired Servant for one
year And further upon her Voluntary Oath says
she is now pregnant with Child or Children which is likely to
be Born a Bastard or Bastards and to become Chargeable
be the said Parish of St. Clement Danes she being Poor and
unable to maintain the same when Born and that one
Robert Rosser< no role > (who lives Clerk with Mr. Fleming an
attorney at No. 9 in Castle yard Holborn ) did beget such
Child or Children he having had Carnal Knowledge of
her Body in the Month of September 1761 and at several
other times since at one of which times he did beget
her with Child of the Child or Children with which she is now Pregnant
