in the County of Middx taken ye.. 7th- Day of April
1741 Who upon her Oath saith that her Husband
Gyles Gardner< no role > Served One Year & upwards the latter
Part of his Apprentishipp with one Sr. John Sidney< no role >
in the Strand in the sd. Parish of St. Clement Danes
Watchmaker And further on her Oath that her said
Husband rented a House in the Parish of St. Lawrence
in the County of Southampton of the Yearly Rent of
Six Pounds Six Shillings for the Space of three Years
& paid to the Watch & Minister of the sd- Parish & served
the Office of Surveyer of the Common there that her
sd. Husband never rented Ten Pounds a Year pd. to the
Poor of any Parish lived with any Person as a Yearly
hired Servt. for the Space of one Year or otherwise
gained a Settlemt- to [..] her knowledge or Beliefe
yt. her sd. Husband lives now in the Isle of Wight Guernsey
& is very Poor & She being left with Two Children (to wit)
Elizth< no role > - aged abt. Thirteen Yrs- & Wm< no role > - aged Four Yrs- is not able
to maintaine herself & them
