The Examination of Mary Bird< no role > lodging in the Parish of
St. Clement Danes in the County of Middx Taken the
24th- Day of March 1741 Who upon her Oath saith that
her Husband Robert Bird< no role > hath been gone from her about
Eight Years & haveing never heard from him cannott tell
whether he is liveing or Dead & that abt. nine Years ago her
sd. Husband lived in & Rented a House in little Drury Lane
in the Parish of St. Mary Le Strand in the Liberty of Westmr -
for the Space of two Years & upwards at the Yearly Rent of
Nineteen Pounds And this Examinant further saith that
her sd. Husband nor She this Exaiant since his Absense
never rented any other House paid Parish Taxes lived with
any Person as a Yearly hired Servt. for the Space of one Year
or otherwise gained a Settlement in anyother Place to
her knowledge or beleife & being Poor is not able to maintaine
herselfe
