The Examination of Lancelott Baker< no role > lodging in
the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the County
of Middx taken the 28th. Day of February 1740
Who upon his Oath saith that abt. Six Years ago
he lived in and Rented a House in Maypole
Alley in the sd. Parish of St. Clement Danes for
the Space of one Year & upwards at the Yearly
Rent of Eighteen Pounds And further on his Oath
saith that he hath not Since he left the sd. House
rented ten Pounds a Year pd. Parish taxes or
otherwise gained a Settlemt. in any other Place
to his knowledge or beleife that he hath a Wife
& two Children (to wit) Elizth.< no role > aged abt. ten Years and
Benoni< no role > aged about eight Years & being poor is not
able to maintaine himselfe & Family
