The Examination of Sutton Brownett< no role > liveing in the
Parish of St. Clement Danes in the County of Middx taken
the 21st. Day of February 1740 Who upon his Oath saith
yt. about 9 Years ago he served two Years & upwards the
latter Part of his Apprentiship with one Mr. Wm. Wright< no role >
in the Parish of St. James at Garlickhith in the City of
London Cordwainer And further on his Oath saith that
he hath not since he left his sd. Master rented £10 a Year
pd. Parish Taxes lived with any Person as a yearly
hired Servant for the Space of one Year or otherwise
gain'd a Settlement in any other Place to his knowledge or
beleife yt. he hath a Wife named Ann< no role > who is now Sick &
Weak & he being Poor is not able to maintain himself & her
