The Examinacon of Elizth. the Wife of Robt. Wilkinson< no role > Lodging
in ye. Parish of St. Clemt. Danes in ye. County of Middx taken the
8th. Day of July 1740 Who upon her Oath saith yt. in ye. Month of
Febry. 1736 she Intermarryed with ye. above Named Rt. Wilkinson
& yt. he ye. sd. Rt. Wilkinson was bound an Apprentice to one Mr.
Harris in Bond Street in ye. Parish of St. George Hanover
Square in ye. Liberty of Westmr . Gunsmith & lived with him
there about 5 Years & then his sd. Master failed And further
saith yt. the sd. Mr. Harris being in Mean Circumstances & not
able to provide for her sd. Husband let him out for abt.
8 Months the last past of his Apprentiship to one Mr.
Smith in the sd. Parish of St. George Hanover Square
at 4s P Week Meat Drink Washing & Lodging and
recd. the Wages yt. became due for his sd. Service as
this Examint. hath been informed & verily beleives And
she further saith yt. her sd. Husband never Rented £10 a
Year Paid Parish Taxes or othewise gained a Settlemt. in
any other Place to her knowledge or beleife That she
hath two Childn. by her sd. Husband (to wit) Robt.< no role > aged 2
Years & upwds. & Edwd.< no role > aged abt. 4 Months & he haveing
Absconded from her is poor & not able to maintaine them
