to wit Nanny Walker< no role > Aged about Twenty Three Years
on her Oath Says she never was married Rented House or paid
Taxes Says she lived a hired Yearly Servant with Mr. Woodhouse
at the Temple Coffee House in Devereux Court Temple Bar in the
Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex for
fifteen Months at the Yearly Wages of Six pounds hath quitted
her said Service about Three Years ago since which time she
hath never lived a hired Yearly Servant for One Year And
further on her Voluntary Oath Says she is pregnant with Child
or Children which is or are likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards
& to become Chargable to the said Parish (she being Poor and
Unable to maintain the same when born) And that one Edward
Mattox
< no role > a Waiter at her sd late Masters House is the Father
thereof he having had Carnal knowledge of her Body sometime in
the beginning of December last but the particular day she does
not now remember and at several Different times afterwards [..]
in her said late Masters House at one of which times he got her
with Child of the Child or Children of which she is now pregnant
And that the said Edward Mattox< no role > and no other person did begett
the same and that she is the real and true Father thereof.
