to him, when he returned to be very low in Speech, and
they ordered the Coachman to drive him to No. 41 in
Orchard Street aforesaid (when he lodged) and when
they got [..] apposite Back Lane the Horse could
not draw the Coach any farther on Account
of the ice Etc in the Street and therefore took the
deceased out of the Coach and carried him in a
Chair from thence to No. 41 (which was but a
little Distance) and conveyed him up Stairs
into his lodging Room, when there appeared to
be no Signs of life in him however this Deponent
sent immediately for Mr. Pellonier an Apothecary
who came soon afterwards and said it was of no
use to try any means for his Recovery as he
was quite dead. this Deponent say, the deceased
has been very ill for for seven Weeks last past
and been Wednesday last had a litter to be [..]
[..] they seen no Marks of Violence him on
out Patient of the Westmr. Infirmary that he
was a sober man but imprudent andfor wenthad not
oftaken [..] proper Care of himself, which it is
thoughthas been the Occasion of his death

Henry Stiles< no role > of the Kings Arms in Little George
Street Victualler being sworn deposeth that on
Sunday last about Noon the deceased came to
his house and called for three half penny worth
of Pearl and appeard then to be very unwell,
and sat there till about 5 in the Evening and
asked Mrs. Stiles for a Before of Ten which he
drank and ate a Toast with it and seemed then
rather better, a little while afterward, he drank
a little Rum and Water and after that another
before of Ten. soon after which one of the
Servants said he thought the deced was dying
and this Deponent was of the same Opinion, and
as he had not a Spare Bed in his house he sent
for Mr. Carew Roffey< no role > of Orchard Street Westmr.
(with whom the deceased lodged) who came and they
put the deceased into the Coach and Mr. Roffey
and another Person went into the Coach to take
care of the deceased and ordered the Coach man
to drive them to No. 41 in Orchard Street .
That the deceased was perfectly sober when he came
to this Deponents house and clearing this they there
and this Deponentis of opinionof towards he [..]
