John Culow< no role > a Servant at the Royal Ass house in
Knightsbridge being sworn saith that
on Sunday the 17th. instant between the hour
of 12 and 1 at Noon being at the Queen Head
in Knightsbridge he saw the Deceased drinkg
with there Soldiers which Soldiers went
from there to the Barracks and brought
bake two Messrs of boiled Mutton & potatoes one of which they
gave to the deceased who had almost
eat all of it very greedily when this
Deponent said why do you eat so fast
you will choak yourself in answer
to which he said [..] what is that to you
which were the last words he spoke
for then he began to vomit and cart
up some of the Potatoes but no meat
whereupon this Deponent Called to the
Land Lord to take him out of the room
which he did to the Back door when he
(the deceased) still kept reaching but
brought up very little and then he fell
down and the Landlord immediately
conveyed him into the Kitchen where
this Deponent and one of the Soldier
lifted him up and set him on his bottom
with

with his back against the Wainscott and he
fetched a deep Sigh and expired and they
immediately sent to Mr. Evans and Mr.
Cotton Surgeons who were neither of them
at home and before any other Assistance
was obtained he was quite dead and
appeared quite black in the face.

to his death by Suffocation in consequence of
