any marks of violence on him, there appeared marks
on the Mud from Westminster Bridge to the Place where
he was found as if he had been carried with the Tide
the Deceased was taken away and carried to the Red
Lyon Public House in Parliament Street , he was quite
Dead and Stiff, and by the Buttons on his Coat and
mark on his Belt it appeared that he was a Serjeant in the 67th,
Regiment of Foot, South Hampshire and Deponent was
informed that the Deceased's Name was Charles Red< no role > .

Joseph Prison< no role > Foreman to Mr. Coles in Cannon Row , on his
Oath saith that this Morning when the Sawyers came
to Work, Mr. Hunt one of them said there was a Man
Drowned and laying in the Mud, he went and saw the
Deceased, and had him taken up, he was quite Dead, and
no Marks of Violence appeared on him, it appeared to the
Deponent as if the Deceased had been drawn or forced by
the Tide when going down, as some marks appeared on
the Mud from Westminster Bridge to th Place where he
was foundit appeared by Papers in his Pocket, that his
Name

Name was Charles Rea< no role > , a Recruiting Serjeant in the
67th, Regiment of Footthere was a Purse in his Pockets
but no Money in it, nor in his Pockets.
