Informations taken this twenty
ninth day of May 1790 at Tothill Fields
Bridewell in the Parish of St. Margaret
within the Liberty of Westmr. in the
County. of Midsex upon and Inquisition
touching the death of Robert Cook< no role >
a Prisoner there lying dead.

John Brown< no role > a Prisoner in Tothill Fields
Bridewell on his Oath saith that Robert Cook< no role >
the Deced was brought Prisoner there about
five weeks bring charged for attempting to
Pick a Person's Pocket in the Street when
he did not appear to be perfectly well, but
did not complain untill about a fortnight
ago, when he complained of a Sickness
and next day, he was feverich, when he
was taken into the Sick Ward, and was attended
by their Dept. Says that Mr. Hanover the Apothecary and
his Journeyman attended the Deced a sent
him Medicines which Deced took, Says
that the Deced had the Allowance of
the Prison from the Governor, who likewise
gave Dept. Money to buy necessary things
for the Deced which Dept. did and gave
to the Deced, Says that the Deced was
not ill used by any Person in the Prison
Says that the Deced's Fever continued
that he grew worse and died last Night
between Nine and Ten o'Clock and
Dept. says that he died in a normal
Way.
