Informations taken his First day of
August 1785 at Knightsbridge in the Parish
of St. Margaret within the Liberty of Westmr.
in the County of Middlesex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty & County

John Jones< no role > Servant to Mr. Moore Keeper of
Hyde Park in theon his Oath saith That on Saturday
last a Man and Boy came to Mr. Moon's
saying that they had seen a Lead Body floating
upon the Serpentine River in Hyde Park
Says that he took a Boat and saw the Deced
floating upon the Serpentine River near the
Upper End of it, Says that they got hold
of Deced's Cloath and pulled her to the Shore
in the Parish of St. Margaret Westminster
appearing to have been some days Deceded
Says that he oberved a [..] Wound on the
side of the Deced's Head which bled freely
and Dept. believes that the wound was
reced by the Deced'd having been under the
bottom of the Boat when they were
pulling her through the Water, Says that
he observed no other hurt upon the Deced
