Informations taken this Seventh
day of March 1785 at the parish of
St. Martin in the Fields within the
Liberty of Westminstr . in the County of
midsex upon a inquisition touching
the death of a Woman unknown of
lying dead in the said Parish
liberty and County.

John Lawrence< no role > of Hungerford Market
Waterman on his Oath Saith, that between seven
and Eight o'Clock this Morning, Edward
Rowh
< no role > another Waterman called Dept. up
this Morning,informing him that there
was a drowned person in the Thomas between
Black lyon Stairs and York Buildings ,
Says that they bath went and Dept. saw
the Deced lying on her fore on there about twenty
Yards from the Shore, the Side Ebbing
having left the Deced Says, that in about
half an hour the Tide Flowed and Dept.
Rowed his Boat to her and with a Cord
fastened her to the Boat and brought her
to the Shore at Black Lyon Stairs in the
parish of St. Martin in the Fields .
Says that the Deced was dead but did
not appear to have been long Drowned,
nor did there appear to be any Marks
of violence upon the Deced.
