Informations taken this Tenth
day of January 1780 at Tothill Fields
Bridewell in the Parish of St. Margaret
within the Liberty of Westminster in
the County of Middlesex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of Mary Hands< no role > a
Prisoner lying dead in the said Parish
Liberty of County.

Mary Russell< no role > a Prisoner in Tothill Fields
Bridewell on ever Oath saith That she became
a Prisoner there on the Twenty Eighth day of
October last, Says that Mary Hands< no role > the Deced
was brought Prisoner there about a fortnight
after this Dept. appearing to be in & Health
Says that she Continued well until the 22d.
day of Decr. lastlastwhen Deced was taken
ill, and complained of a pain all over
her, which deprived her of her Senses
for some time, Says that Deced grew worse
and has been Speechless ever since the
fifth day of this Instant January, and
died yesterday Morning January the
Ninth, Says that the Deced had her
Allowance every day from the Governor and Tea every
Morning, and Mutton to make her Broth
Says that the Deced was not ill used by
the Governor or any of his Servants or
any other Person an said Prison, and
believes that Deced died of a Fever in a
natural Way.
