Informations taken this fourth day of
January 1774 at Tothill Fields Bridewell in
the Parish of St. Margaret within the Liberty of
Westmr . in the County of Middlesex upon an
Inquisition touching the death of William
Edwards
< no role > a Prisoner lying dead in the said
Prison

Henry Allcock< no role > a Prisoner in Tothill Fields
Bridewell on his Oath saith that he has been
there about five weeks and found William
Edwards
< no role > the Deced a Prisoner there when Dept
was taken there, and complaining at a great
pain across his Stomach, which continued to
the time of his Death which happened on
Sunday Morning last (Jany. 2) Says that
the Deced had his Allowance from the Govr. of
the House every day, which Dept. could not
Eat, That the Deced [..] was not confined
in any improper place, nor was he ill re [..]
by the Keeper or any ofthe Prisoners in
said Prison to Dept. Knowledge, nor did he
ever hear the Deced complain of any ill
treatment in said Pricon
