Informations taken this Ninth day of
May 1771 at the Parish of St. Margaret within
the Liberty of Westmr . in the County of Midsex
upon on Inquisition touching the death of
Thomas English< no role > lying dead in the said Parish
Liberty of County.

John Cartwright Dickinson< no role > House Surgeon at the
Westmr. Hospital in the Parish of St. Margaret Westmr
on his Oath saith That on the Twenty eighth day of
April last Thomas English< no role > the Deced was brought to said [..]
with a Cut upon his Forehead which was dressed there
as Dept. was informed, and that Deced returned home, but
being ill was received into the Hospital on Wednesday
May 1st. Says that he grew worse until the sixth
Instant when Mr. Watson one of the Surgeons of said
Hospital took off part of the Sealp, and on the next day
the Deced was Trapaned, notwithstanding which, and
every other proper Assistance Deced died in said Hospital
the next Morning, May 9th. Upon Examining the Head
after Death, No Fracture was to be found, but the
Concussion was so great that it caused Inflammation
& Suppuration over the greatest part of his Head
between the dura and Pia Mater, which was the
cause of his death.

of St. Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex on his
Oath saith, That on Saunday last (April 28th). about Ten o' Clock
in the forenoon this Dept. Sent his Son Thomas English< no role >
the Deced to Mr. Murdosh in Craven Buildings
Says that about Eleven o' Clock the same Morning
Mrs. Munden brought the Deced home, and said
that the Deced had fallen down into Mr. Walkers fell [..]
behind St. Clements Church in the Parish of St. Clement [..]
Danes , and had reced a Cut upon his Head Says that
Mrs. Englishtook the Deced to Mr. Patch a Surgeon who
dressed the Deced's Wound as Dept. was informed, Says
