Informations taken this Twenty ninth
day of January 1768 at the Parish of St Martin
in the Fields within the liberty of Westmr in
the county of Middlesex on an Inquisition
touching the Death of a Woman unknown lying
dead in the said Parish Liberty and County.

Thomas Carver< no role > of Vine Street in the Parish of St John the
Evangelist Westmr. Labourer on hid Oath saith, That he was
at work Yesterday Morning between ten and Eleven o'clock
at Northernberland Wharf in the Parish of St Martin in the
Fields , carrying Coals out of a Lighter, says that Henry
Ball
< no role > another Labourer called out saying there Lyes old
Gillet Drowned upon which he looked and in the river
Thomas there at the Stern of a Berge Dept saw the Deced lying
in the said parish of St Martin in the fields , says that
the Deced was lifted by this Dept and other persons in
a Barge there, says that she was dead but Dept observed
no Marks of violence upon the Deced. Says that he
found in her Pocket a shilling, a six pence, and four
pence in Copperin copper anda Snuff box
