1768 at the Parish of St. Parish of St. George Hanover Square
within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Midsex
on an Inquisition touching the Death of Bernard
Campble
< no role > lying dead in the said Parish Liberty & County

Mary Strudwick< no role > Wife of William Studwick< no role > a Lodger
at Mr. James Scole< no role > (in the Kitchen) in Downe Street in
the Parish of St. George Hanr. Square on her Oath saith
that being in her Kitchen yesterday between ten and
Eleven o'Clock she head Bernard Campble< no role > the Deced (who
was about four Years Old, and Nursed by Mrs. Scole) run
along the Parlours where Mrs. Scole lived being over
the Deced, and a Dog with him, Says that the Deced eried
but not very loud, Says that in about ten Minutes she
heard a great Noice and immediately run up Stairs, when
she saw Mrs. Scole crying with the Deced in her Arms
says that she observed that the Deced was burnt on the
Back, Says thatMr DecedScole was very fond and
careful of the Deced.

Elizabeth< no role > Wife of Richard Griffiths< no role > lodger at Mr. Scole
on her Oath saith. That yesterday about ten oClock in the
forenoon Dept. heard a Noice upon which she run down
Stairs, and in the Passage saw Mrs. Scole with the Deced in
her hands bruching something of him, being very much
scorched and Burnt, Says that the Deced was rubbed with
Snow and carried by Mrs. Scole to St. George Hospital where
he was rubbed with Oil. but Deced was not able to Speak,
and died in the Hospital in about on hour and on half
and belives that its being burnt occasioned his Death
Says that [..] Mrs Scole was very fond of the Deced. Says that
there was but a small [..] in the Parlour and that there
was a Kettle with water upon it
