Informations taken this Twelfth day of May 1764
at the Parish of St. George Hanover Square within
the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex
on an Inquisition taken on View of the Body of
a Man Unknown lying Dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

Elizabeth< no role > the Wife of Joseph Swain< no role > of Knightsbridge Schoolmaster
on her Oath saith, that she was coming towards London yesterday
Afternoon about six O'Clock and saw the Deced leaning against
a Postssome Postsin the foot way at the East End of Knightsbridge , as
she thought in a fit, says that she asked the Deced if he was
subject to fit, to which he replied, No Says that he grew
worse and Deced was going as Deponent apprehended to
fell down, but that she endeavoured to break the fall by
laying hold of the Deced, Says that she called Mr. Bean out
of the House adjoyning who lifted up the Deced upon his
feet, and Deced afterwads leaned against the Posts, being
very weak, Says that several people were gathered about
the Deced and Deponent then went away and left the
Deced there, Deponent says that on her return home
a little before nine O'Clock in the Evening she was informed
that the Deced died soon after she want away, Says that
no Person was near the Deced when she first saw him, and
does believe that the Deced died a natural Death.

Lackland Bean< no role > of Knightsbridge Taylor on his Oath
saith, that Mrs. Swain called Deponent yesterday Afternoon
to come out of his house to lift up the Deced, but the Dept.
apprehended that the Deced was Drunk did not go immediate
ly, but went out soon after and found the Deced lying on the
Ground by the Posts in the Foot way in a Fit Says that he lifted up the
Says that a Wooden Chair was sent for there for the Decd to sit into carry the Deced away
Says that the Deced was speechless, that he grew worse, and
that he soon after died there, a Natural Death as Deponent
believes.
