Informations of Witnesses taken this twentieth
day of April 1764 at the Parish of St. Margaret
within the City & Liberty of Westmr. in the County
of Middlesex on an Inquisition taken on View
of the Body of Hannah Walker< no role > lying Dead in
the said Parish City and Liberty.

Jabez Price< no role > of Sturton Ground in the Parish of St
Margaret Westmr. Smith on his Oath saith that on ThursdayWednesday
Morning last about ten O'Clock Deponent was going along
Orchard Street in the said Parish of St. Margaret and saw
a Woman (whose Name he is informed was Bridget Davis< no role > )
come out of a House there crying, upon which Depot.
asked her what was the Matter to which she Answered
that one of her Lodgers was hanging, whereupon
Deponent andanothera Woman who lodged in the
House went to the Room Door where Deced was hanging
(being two pair of Stairs) and there found a Man endeavouring to open the
Door, which was locked, and the Key in the Lock or
the inside of the Door, Deponent says that with a
pair of Pincers he broke the Lock, and opened the Door
Says that he then discovered the Deced hanging by
two Apron Strings over a Closet Door in said Room,
Says that a Butcher who came into the room
immediately after deponent, with his Knife cut the
Aprons Strings and the Deced fell down upon the Floor,
Says that he took hold of Deced's hand which was warm
and Deponent thought that the Deced was then alive
says that he sent for Mr. Purdean an Apothecary to
Bleed the Deced, who came immediately and endeavou'd
to bleed her, but the Deced bled very little, and Mr.
Purdean then said that the Deced was Dead, and
Deponent soon after perceived that deced was Dead,
