Informations taken this 23d. day of January
1764 at the Goal or Prison called the Gatehouse
in the City of Westmr . on an Inquisition taken on
View of the Body of John Francis Letonell< no role > then
and there lying Dead

William Darvall< no role > Servant to Mr. Clark Keeper of the goal
or Prison called the Gatehouse on his Oath saith, that about
three Weeks ago the Deced was brought A Prisoner to the
said Prison, being Committed by Mr. Justice Wright for not
paying his Chairman their Hire, sayd that he thought
that the Deced was then Disordered in his Senses, from
the Behaviour of the Deced he being very Noisy, disturbing
the Neighbours and tearing his Cloaths to pieces, Says that
Mr. Clark constantly sent Deced Victuals of which he
generally Eat some part, Says that upon perceiving
Deced to grow worse Mr. Nelson a Chymist was sent
for, who came, and Administred some Medicines to Deced
on Thursday last, which Purged the Deced, But
Deced grew weaker, and Deponent was informed
that Deced died on friday or Saturday Morning last but
Deponent cannot say whether, Says that he has heard
of no ill Treatment that he Deced reced from the
Keeper, his Servants, or any of the Prisoners, nor did
he ever hear the Deced complain of any ill usage since
hewascame into the Prison

James Jones< no role > a Prisoners in the said Gatehouse on his
Oath saith, that he was brought to said Prison on the
thirteenth day of this Instant January where he found the
Deced a Prisoner says that he was every Day afterwards with Deced
and frequently carried him his Victuals of which he general
eat some part, until friday last, when he refused to eat
and Deponent then thought that Deced was Dying, says
that the Deced died on Saturday Morning last above
