but came to her Speech again on Sunday last, but
finding the deced extremely ill Dept. did not talk
further with her about the said Ill treatment says
that the deced dyed Yesterday about one o' Clock in
the afternoon.

Head Court Weaver on her Oath Saith that on
Monday the fifth Day of September instant the deced
came to Deponents House, without being led by any
Body, and informed Deponent that she had reced five
Blows with an Oak Sapling, and two Kicks on her
Back from Patrick Mc. Guinis< no role > , and that the Kicks
had done for her. says the deced had a black Eye but
did not inform Dept. how she came by it; and Dept. says
she had no further discourse with deced about the said
Assault.

Dorothy byrn< no role > of Nags Head Court Widow on her Oath
Saith that on Monday and Tuesday Nights the fifth & Sixth
instant Deponent laid with deced says that the deced
informed Dept. that Mc Gennis had beat her with a great
Stick, but whether with a Broomstick or Mopstick
She could not tell, and gave her a Kick on the Side, which
had done her more harm than the rest of the Blows, says
the deced had a Black Eye, but did not acquaint Dept
how she came by it, says the deced did not offer to Shew
to Dept. any Bruises she had reced nor did Dept. ask to see
them

Joseph Roper< no role > of the Stiand Surgeon on his Oath
Saith that this Day he examined the Body of the
deced and found no marks of Violence whatsoever
upon the Body of the deced, or any Bruises upon
her Head. And Dept. says that upon his Juspection
he verily believes the deced dyed a natural Death.
