Informations taken this twenty first
Day of April 1762 at the Parish of Saint George
Hanover Square within the Liberty of Westminster
in the County of Middx on an Inquisition on View
of the Body of Matthias Molineux< no role > an Infant
of the Age of nine years there lying dead.

Tallow Chandler Father of the deced on his
Oath Saith that on one Side of his dwelling House
there is a piece of Ground zailled in, within which
is a Window belonging to a cellar which opens
occasionally, to receive Tallow in, says that last
Wednesday in the afternoon, between two and three
he saw his Son at play within the Rails, says he
was Suddenly alarmed by same people who knocked
at his Doorand informed Dept. sheet his Son had
fallen in [..]
says he opened the window
and asked what was the Matter, and on being
informed that his Son had fallen down into the Cellar
be looked down and discovered him there lying, says
he went down immediately and brought the deced
up, [..] and Men saw a little Blood upon the flooring of
the Cellar, and when he brought the deced up from
the Cellar he observed agreatDent over the deceds
left Eye; says the deced complained of his Head
and Deponent sent for an Apothecary who would
not meddle with the deced [..] itlooking on it
to be the Business of a Surgeon to attend the deced
upon which Dept. sent for Mr. Brow field a Surgeon
who on examining the deced in formed Dept. that his
Scull was fractured and that it was necessary for him
to be hapanned, says that upon moving his son to
Mr. James Godden< no role > 's House where he proposed the
Operation to be performed, the deced came much to
himself and was capable of conversing, says Dept. asked
the deced how the Accident happened, to which the
deced replyed that he was walking backward drawing
