It appearing to me on the Oaths of several
Persons that one William Fagin< no role >
late a Soldier
in your
Regimt. received some violent bruises of which he is said
to have Died by the hands of one Johnston a Publican
at whose House the said Fagin was Quartered, Share
Committed the said Johnston to Prison but to my
great surprize find that Fagins Body was removed from
the Hospital and Buried with Evident Marks of bruises
upon him without any enquiry made by the Coroner
on the occasion I shou'd therefore hope that you wou'd
sent Serjeant Batchelor to the Coroner
for Westminster
who will Order the Body to be taken up and a proper
enquiry made, I am with all due Expect
