Whereas George Clayton< no role > was at the last Session holden at the Old Bailey tried and Convicted of Felony and
had Sentence of Death passed upon him for the same And Whereas some favorable Circumstances have been humbly represented
unto us in his Behalf inducing us to Extend our Grace and Mercy unto him and to Grant him our Pardon for his said Crime
on Condition of his remaining in prison for the Space of Six Months Our Will and Pleasure Wherefore is that you give the necessary
directions accordingly and that he be inserted for his said Crime on the said Condition in our first and next General Pardon
that shall come out for the poor Convicts in Newgate And for so doing this shall be your Warrant Given at our Court at Saint
James's the tenth day of December 1793 in the thirty fourth year of our Reign
