To wit.}


To the Governor of the House of Correction in Tothill Fields Bridewell
and to the Contractor for removing Vagrants in the said County,
and also to all Constables and other Officers of the Peace whom it may
concern, to receive and convey; and to the Church Wardens, Chapel
Wardens, or Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Redgrave
in the County of Suffolk
or either of them, to receive and obey.

Whereas George Lemon< no role >
on the eight Day of February One Thousand Seven
Hundred and Ninety eight was apprehended in the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square in the County of Middlsex wandering and begging
there. And whereas the said George Lemon< no role > hath been by me
one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County
of Middlesex , examined, convicted, and adjudged, to be a Rogue
and Vagabond, and hath in consequence of such Conviction, been com-
mitted to and confined in the said House of Correction for the Space of
FourteenSeven Days, pursuant to the Statute in that Case lately made. And
whereas upon Examination of the said George Lemon< no role >
taken before me upon Oath (which Examination is
hereunto annexed) it doth appear that last legal Settlement is in the
said Parish Redgrave
in the County of Suffolk

These are therefore to require you the said Contractor to convey the said
George Lemon< no role > to the Parish of
in the County of
that being the first Place in the next Precinet through which he
ought to pass in the direct Way to the said Parish of Redgrave
to which he is to be sent, and to deliver him
to the Constable, or other Officer of such first Place in such next Pre-
cinct, together with this Pass, and Duplicate of the Examination of
the said George Lemon taking his Receipt
for the same. And the said George Lemon< no role >
to be thence conveyed on in like Manner to the said Parish of Redgrave
there to be delivered to some Church-
warden, Chapel-warden, or Overseer of the Poor, to be provided for
according to Law. And you the said Church-wardens, Chapel-wardens,
and Overseers of the Poor, are hereby required to receive the said
George Lemon< no role > and provide for him
as aforesaid. Given under my Hand and Seal this 9th
Day of February in the Year of our Lord 179 8.
