At the General Quarter Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King holden at the Town Court house near
Westmr. Hall in and for the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the
Collegiate Church of St. Peter Westmr. the City Borough and Town
of Westmr. in the County of Middlesex and St. Martin le Grand
London on Wednesday the Fourteenth day of April in the second
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third King of
Great Britain Etc before Bartholomew Hammond< no role > William
Spinnage< no role > Thomas Kynaston< no role > Esquires and others their Fellow
Justices of our said Lord the King Assigned to keep the Peace in the
said Liberty And also to hear and Determine divers Felonies
Trespasses and other misdeeds committed within the said Liberty.

Whereas at the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord< no role >
the King held at the Town Court house near Westmr. Hall in and for the said
City and Liberty on the 18th. day of June last past Mary Allen< no role > was and stands
Indicted for keeping an ill Governed and disorderly house in the Parish of
St. James within the liberty of Westmr . And Whereas at the general
Quarter Session of the Peace of our said Lord the King held at the Town
Court house aforesaid in and for the said Liberty on the 14th. day of October
last past Mary Wife of Jonathan Allen< no role > who is Indicted by the name of
Mary Allen< no role > Spinster came in her proper person into the said Court and
having heard the said Indictment read said that she the said Mary who
stands Indicted hereby the Name and Addition of Mary Allen< no role > Spinster
pleads that at the time of the taking the said Indictment was and Yet is the
Wife of the said Jonathan Allen< no role > wherefore the said Mary is not named
with her proper Addition in the said Indictment She prays Judgment of the
said Indictment It is Ordered by this Court that unless the Prosecutors of
the said Indictment shall within two days of the next General Quarter
Session of the Peace to be held for this Liberty make Replication to the said
Mary Plea of Addition as mentioned in the said Plea that the said Plea
be allowed and the Indictment Quashed.
