Westminster To wit.

These are to Certify That the Statute Law now in force
(to Oblige the Inhabitants to mend the Highways Six days in
the year) is not sufficient to repair and amend the Highways
of the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square within the Liberty of
Westminster without an Order of the Quarter Sessions of the peace
held for the said Liberty to make a Rate and assessment on all
and every the Inhabitants of the said Parish for raising the sum
of Three hundred Pounds and upwards for and towards the
repairing and amending the Highways belonging to the said
Parish and in our Opinion the Contents of the within Written
Petition is true Given under our Hands this 27th. day of
July 1749.
