To Mr. John Mann< no role > one of the Constable of the
Parish of St. Annes

By virtue of several Orders of the General Quarter-Sessions of the Peace
made, and to Me sent, You are hereby required to be and appear in
Person, with your Long Staff, at the next General Quarter-Sessions of
the [..] holden for this City and Liberty at the Town Court-House
near Westminster-Hall , on [..] day the Sixth Day of January Inst.
by nine of the Clock in the Morning, and bring with, you, fairly written,
your Returns or Presentments of all Things presentable by you (particularly all
such Persons who keep Disorderly Houses, Night-Homes, or Night-Cellars,
and for not repairing and cleansing the Streets) to the intent that they may be
procented against according Law: And likewise you are to bring Lifts or
[..] a s [..] e Paper of all Houses within you Ward
or Di [..] able, according of Act of Parliament, to quarter Soldiers,
as Inns, Livery-Stables, Ale-Houses, Victualling-Houses, and all Houses of
Persons selling Brandy, Strong Waters, Cyder, or Metheglin, by Retail, with
the Names of the Persons who keep the same: Also the Number of Officers
and Soldiers quartered in your Ward or District, and on whom the same are
quarteerd; this to be a true Lift, otherwise you are subject to the Forfeit of
Five Pounds for every Default. Given under my Hand and Seal this first
Day of174 2
