Whereas by an Order made at the General Quarter Sessions
of the peace held the Twelfth day of July last for the City & Liberty of
Westminster It was referred to the Rt. Honble. George Lord Carpenter< no role >
Sr. Thomas Clarges< no role > Barrt . James Stewart< no role > , Thomas Pagett< no role > , Thomas
Rea and Richard Whitworth< no role > Esqrs . Justices of the peace for this Liberty
or any two of them to Summon the late Surveyors of the Highways
of the Parish of St. George Hanover Square before them or any two
of them to inspect and Examine the Accounts of the late Surveyors
and Collectors of the Monies Collected and received for the repair
of the Highways and Pavements of the said Parish for the said Year
last past and also of their Payments and Disbursments thereout
And Whereas by the said Order the Justices are desired to
report and certify a State of the said Accounts in Writing with
their Opinion to the Court Now We The Rt. Honble George
Lord Carpenter and Thomas Rea< no role > Esqr . two of the said Justices
do in pursuance of the said Order hereby Certify a State of the
said Account, which is within Written, and We are of
Opinion the same is just and reasonable
