We his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the City & Liberty of
Westminster to whom amongst others it was referr'd by two Orders
Court, one bearing date the 5th. day of October 1737. And the other the 5th.
day of January following. Do hereby report that in pursuance
thereof We did meet at the house of Correction in Tothill Fields on
the 23d. day March last And examined into the Allegations
contained in the Petition of Elinor Mathews< no role > Widow & Thomas
Burt. And are of Opinion the following Sums have been laid
out by her for the use and benefit of the said House of Correction
in necessary repairs And that the Sum of £4..16s..6d due to
Thomas Burt< no role > for Smiths work done in the said House of
Correction was for the necessary repairs there And that they ought
to be allowed the Same.

Amounting in the whole to the Sum of£16..9..10

And We do further Report that several Necessary Repairs are
wanting to put the said House Correction in such a Condition as is
fitting for the safe Custody of the prisoners Committed as, more fully
appears by the Annexed Estimates, And which we are of Opinion
ought to be forthwith done, All which we Submit to the Judgement
of the Court, as Witness our hands this 7th. day of April 1738.
