William Cowper< no role > Esqr . one of his Maties. Justices of the peace for the
Liberty of the Dean & Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter
Westmr. the City Burrough & Town of Westmr. in the County of
Middx and of the Quoy inhabiting in the said Liberty and in
Westmr. Division in the said County of Middlx Do hereby Certify to
this Court that pursuant to an Act of Parliament made in the Second
Year of the Reign of the late King William and Queen Mary
Intituled an Act for paveing and cleansing the Streets in the City
of London and Westmr. and Suburbs and Libertys thereof and
out parishes in the County of Middlx and in the Burrough of
Southwark and other places within the weekly Bills of Mortality
in the County of Surry and for regulating the Markets therein
menconed I have viewed a certain large new Street or way called
Davis Street in the parish of St. George Hanover Square in the
said Liberty of Westmr. and County of Middlx and upon my
said view do find that part of the said Street is already paved
with Stone (vizt) before the houses of William Burdon< no role > Esqr . Mr.
John Barnes< no role > Mr. William Austin< no role > Mr. Peter Young< no role > Mr. Saml.
Jewell Mr. Thomas Westley< no role > Mr. Jacob Ward< no role > and Mr. Robert
Coleman
< no role > and the remainder of the said Street is fit and
convenient to be paved with Stone but is not so at present (vizt)
before the house and yard of Mr. John Neal< no role > amounting by
admeasurement to four perchy and two hundred twenty five
feet and before the houses of Mr. Thomas Knight< no role > William
Rainbow Mr. Thomas Stege Mr. Thomas Cox< no role > Mr. Robert
Hower Mr. John Willins< no role > Mr. William Smith< no role > Mr. David Meredith< no role >

in a ruinous & dangerous condicon and the other part thereof is altogether
unpassable to passengers and other his Majesties Subjects to passe
and repasse with their Coaches Carts and Carriages as they
ought to do Witnes my hand and Seal this eleventh day
of July Anno Din 1727
