Square Gent Maketh Oath That He this Dept.
went Yesterday to the Pet Smith on the behalf
of the Deft Cole and this Dept. did offer the said
Mr. Smith the Sume of Five Guineas for the
damage the Deft Cole had done His wife
and also to pay all the Cost, or that if the
would fox upon any Gentleman at should
be referred to Him of determine the Same
both which offers He referred and declared
He would not make it up on any [..]
and when this Dept. told Mr. Smith the
honble did cost He would be put too in
prosecuting this affair, Mr. Smith then
replyed He should be at no Charge for
that His attorney had given them a Note
for that Purpose.
