Hackney Febry 10th 1696

Sir
I make bold to write these few linds unto
you in behalf of a Tenant of mynd whoe keeps
a victualing house in Roosmary Land his
name is Gerard Fitz Gerard< no role > , Soe it is Sr that
thathe is presented at the Sessions att Fixes
hall For keeping a disorderly house, Now
Sr I doe believe it be a Malicious presentment
for he hath being Tenant A year and half
come next Lady day and I have not heard
any Such thing, butt rather the contrary from
the rest of my Tenents that are his neighbours
wherefor I make bold to [..] this unto
you Entreating your worships favour in
his behalf, if you Shall be at [..] bench, when his
cause is heard
