estute within the said parish of St. James wth. in the Liberty of [..]
for the amending & Recacon of the said Highwayes & charges
incident thereunto for the present yeare comencing at Christmas
last as aforesaid shall be forth with made by the Churchwardens
& Ovseers of the poore & the Gentlemen of the vestry of the said
parish or any Eight or more of them (whereof the said Church [..]
to be twoe) And that the Assessmt. soe a [..] aforesaid to bee made
be fairly written And the same with [..] Duplicate [..]

Esqrs . Justices of peace of this Liberty of Westm or any twoe or me [..] of
them togeather with any other Justices of peace of the said Libty on or
before the Twentieth day of Aprill now next ensueing to bee by them signed
& allowed, Aud it is hereby further ordered & appoynted, That the
Surveyors. of the Highways in the said Parish for this year 1692, bee
Collectors of the said Assessment when allowed as aforesaid & doe di [..]
& carefully collect the Sumes therein rated, And they are to levy the
same by distresse & sale of the goods of every Pson Assessed not paying
the rate within ten dayes after demand by a warrt under the hands
& Seales of twoe or more Justices of peace of the Said Liberty Rending
the overplus of the value of the goods soe distreyned, to the
owner or owners thereof, the necessary charges of making & selling
such disresse being First deducted, And it is further Ordered
that the said Collectors. or Some of them doe & shall Forthwth. & from
time to time after any part of the said Sume of one hundred & Fifteen
pounds [..] Collected & as the said Churchwardens shall from time to
time demand the same, well & truly pay to the said Churchwardens such
part & soe much thereof as they have then collected at the respective
times of such demands to be made untill the wh [..] Sume of [..]
pounds in the Peti [..] menconed [..]
to enable [..] to pay it ever to the [..]
Pvide the materialls & doe the worke of the [..] of the said
Highwayes, And the said Surveyors of he Highways wth. are to [..]
the said one Hundred & Fifteen pounds are hereby ordered to Acco [..]
for the whole sume wth. shall Soe by them Collected & Leveged to twoe
or more of the Justices of peace ofthe place with in forr [..] af [..]
the Electing of new surveyors. of the Highways for the ensuing
year, & all such sume & sumes as shall be remayning in their hands
collected uppon & by the said Assessmt. Shall bee by them paid over to the
