Whereas the Church Warden and other inhabitants
of the parish of St. James within the Liberty of Westmr.
have by their Peticon exhibited for this Court set forth
that the Common High waies in the said parish
cannot be amended and repaired for one year
soon-the Feast of Christmas last past but by
an assessment of the Sum-of one hundred
pounds-upon the inhabitants thereof according to
the direction by a Statute to made in the second
yeare of King William-and Queene Mary intitutes
an Act for pawning and Cleansing the Streets in the
Cather of London and Westminister -and Suburbs &
Liberty or thereof Etc It is orderd that for the
apaireing and amending the same and the Contingers
Chargor Necessary thereunto there be assessments of
the Sum of £115 equally made upon all and
every the inhabitants owners and occupiers of Land.
Houses Tenements and Hereditaments in the said
parish by the Church Warden and Vestric
now thereof to be allow'd by any two Justices
of the peace of the said Liberty and be Collected
by the Surveyors of the High wayes for the said
Parish for the time being as the said ChurchWarden
and Vestrie men shall direct and be an ompted
for according to the direction of one Act of Parliamt.
Intstuted Justified an Act for erecting a new Parish to
be Called the parish of St. James within the
Liberty of Westminister
