Subscriptions were recommended by the
President towards defraying the great Expences of
this Hospital

The President then acquainted the Court that
the immediate occasion of calling the same was to
choose and Assistant Physician in the room of Dr.
Lister

Whereupon the Court proceeded to such
Choice and the Petitions of Dr. Henry Ainslie< no role > Dr.
William Fowle< no role > Dr . Sayer Walker< no role > and Dr. William
Charles Wells
< no role > were severally read praying to be
elected Assistant Physician after which Mr. Treasurer
acquainted the Court that he had authority from Dr.
Fowle to withdraw his Petition being unwilling to
trouble the Court with balloting for him at this time
in hope of their favor on a future occasion

Ainslie chosen
[..] ant Physician .


Whereupon his Petition was withdrawn
accordingly and then the Court proceeded to the Election
by ballot upon casting up whereof it appeared that the
Numbers were for Dr. Ainslie 66 for Dr. Walker 29
and for Dr. Wells 62 Whereupon Dr. Ainslie was
declared duly elected Assistant Physician to this Hospital
during the pleasure of this Court and he was called in
and acquainted with his Election.
