By which method, the Patients will have
the benefit of the Attendance of a Physician every day in
the week, (Sundays excepted).

It appearing to the Committee, That in
Consequence of the above Regulations the Business of
the Apothecary would be Increased, And that some
Alteration was proper to be made with regard to the Duty
of his Office, the Committee came to the following Resolutions

1st: That a Proper Person, to be approved by
the Grand Committee, be by him provided, to reside with
him in his House, to help him in preparing & dispensing
the Medicines; and that he be allowed a Salary of Forty
Pounds per Annum, by which Means may be avoided the
great distress any accidental Sickness of the Apothecary
may bring upon the Business of the Hospital.

2d. That besides his usual Business, the
Apothecary shall be oblig'd to go through all the Wards
every morning except Monday and Saturday, (when the
Doctors are there Themselves;) and take down the Names
of such Patients, whether Doctors or Surgeons, as are
necessary for the Physician to Visit; which list shall be
given to the Physicians who attend those days; And the
Apothecary shall likewise visit any of the, Patients that
are suddendly taken Ill at any Time when apply'd to
for that purpose.

3d. And that Directions be given with the
Out Patients Medicines, either in writing or printed, papers
with Blanks, to be filled up as occasion may require.

That upon Trial having been made of the before
mention'd Regulations, the same have been found to Answer the
great end of making them; Vizt: The benefit of the Poor Patients
in this House.

Judgment of this Court
