Grant to Augustn. Russell
& Vizt. Farron


We having granted to Augustine Russell< no role >
on the 13th. Februy: 1738 a Lease of several Houses in
Bridge Row & Castle Court for 31 Years from
Lady day 1739 at £60 P Ann clear Rent & £900.
Fine. And the said Augustine Russell requesting
that the Premisses might be divided by two Leases
between him & his Sister in Law Eliza: Farrow< no role >
We have consented thereto:

We have Order'd Abraham's Ward, which
was small and inconvenient for that use, to be convert
ed into a Room for the Doctors & Surgeons to examine
Patients in, and have Directed that the New Ward be
open'd instead thereof, But the Number of Beds there
in is not to exceed Fifteen

We have held Courts at the Mannours
of Parndon Gerons and Katherines in Essex, And
we went likewise to hold a Court at the Manour
of Alvethly, but for want of a Sufficient Number
of Copy holders to make a Homage could do no Busin
-ess there

Benefactors Names tobe
sett up in the Hall


We have Order'd all the Names of the
Benefactors to this Charity from the year 1721
(The Tables on the Stair Case containing all before
that time) to be sett up in the Hall of this Hospital

We taking Notice that Mr. Jonathan Welch< no role >
the Steward of this Hospital, hath behaved himself
very diligently for the year past; Do Recommend it
to this Court that he may have a Gratuity of Ten
Pounds paid by Mr. Treasurer

We have Order'd Green Staves to be sent
to the following Gentlemen as proper Pensons to
be Governors of this Hospital Vizt. Thomas Turner< no role >
Esqr . Mr. John Julian< no role > Mr. Robert Manks< no role >
