Lease of the House in Mr: Hopkins Possion Scituate in the High Street
in Southwarke for One & Twenty yeares from Christmas 1714: (At which
Time the Old Lease Expires) At the Old Yearely Rent of Six Pounds
In Consideracon of One Hundred and Seventy Two Pounds Fine
whereof Sixty Four pound Tenn Shillings was to be paid Downe and
the Remaining One Hundred & Seven pounds Tenn Shillings at
Christmas-1712:

Wee have agreed with Mr. Thomas Joyner< no role > and Mrs. Martha Leeds< no role >
his Tenant by Lease for along Terme of Yeares of a Tenement adjoyning to the
Common Sewek in the Burying Ground of this Hospitall. That the said Sewer shall
be cleansed at her Charge dureing the said Lease and afterwards at the Charge of Mr
Joyner and his Heirco; But the Joyle is to be laid on the said Burying ground.
And all Charges for Repaired of the Brickworke it the sd Sewer are to be equally paid by the Hospitall, and Mrs
Leeds dureing her Lease And afterwards by the Hospitall and Mr Joyner and his
Heirco. And the Hospitall is to beare the Charge of Carrying away the sd Soyle.

That the Wooden Fence there shall be made all of the same heighth with that
part nearest to Joyners Street, and shall be abwaids afterwards repaired and kept up
at the Charge of the Hospitall, and Mr. Leeds and Mr. Joyner in manner as aforesaid
That Mrs Leeds shall pay the Hospitall Five pounds towards the Charge of Setting up
and reduceing the highth of part of the said Fence, And that all Windowes & Lights
looking out of the Hospitall into any part of the Estate of the said Mr Joyner and out
of the same into any part of the Ground of the Hospitall shall continue for ever
as they are now made, which Agreement will more perticularly appeare by a
Writeing Signed or Agreed to be Signed by Mr Treasurer by our Direction on the
part of the Hospitall and by the said Thomas Joyner< no role > and Martha Leeds< no role > .

Mutuall Grants
to be made between
Mr: Joyner & the
Hospitall


Wee have likewise agreed with the said Mr Joyner for mutuall Grants to
bemade between the Hospitall and him, Of the Liberty of a Way and passage
in such manner as now used, into and out of the Parish of St: Thomas in South:
warke by and through Joyners Street in the Parish of St: Olave in Southwarke for
500 Yeares from Midsummer 1712 at a Pepper Corneper Annum, And that
he shall have a Grant from the Hospitall for the like Terme at a pepper Court
per Annum of the liberty of continueing the Building over the Hospitalls part
of the Common Sower in Joyners Street aforesaid which lyes betweene his
Ground now in Mr. Tarrants possion and the Hospitalls Ground now in possession
of Mr Virgins Executors: and of makeing use of such part of the North Wall of the House
built on the said Ground now in the Possion of the said Mr [..] Executors as a
party
