A Letter from one Mr. Eccles of Derbyshire
to Mr.
Clarke of Lyons Inn dated the 1o. of August last was
Read, on Behalfe of Mr. Parsons Tenant of the Coale
Delfes at Tibshelfe, praying a new Lease of the Delfes
with like Liberty of Sincking Pitts in the Inclosures, as
in the former Lease, for 21: yeares from the End of the
Old Lease being Michmas 1718. at the Old Rent of £15:
P ann without any Fine. And the Minuits of the
Committees of the 20o January 1719: and 1o. of Aprill 1720
relateing to the said Coale Delfes were also Read; whereupon
the person who attended with the said Letter for Mr. Clarke
was acquainted, That the Committee were not willing to Grant
the Liberty of Sinking Pitts within the Inclosures but only upon
the Moores or Commons and Wast of the Mannor. And that
they expected to know the Sence or Opinion of their Tenants
within the said Mannor touching the places whereof liberty
of Sinking Pitts should be granted, before they consent to
any new Lease
Mdd to Inquire whether the Pitts are now worked, and to have a Rent for
them if they are.
