The Orders & Proceedings of the last Gentl: Court Read Approoved &
Conserved.

Mr. Trear accouinted the Court that Sr. Robt. [..] & at late President
of this Hosptl: [..] like the [..] and that the
Court was sumoned by direccon or the Grand Comittee for Electing a New
President.

And a Mocon being made that Chairman night be Chosen
the Reporteryes of the Orders & proceedings of this Court were searched
and it appearing by many Instances of Courts had after the Death
of former President, for the Electing of New president and likewise
of Courts held in the absence of the president, that the same have been held
by the Trear for the time being. This Court thereupon proceeded to
the Eleccon of a President as usuall Mr. Trear being in the Chaire

The Rt: Honble Sr. Robt. Beddingfeild< no role > Knt : Ld: Mayor and
all the rest of the Aldermen (two such who are [..] president
of other Hosptls) were severally put in Nominacon. And being
Reduced to: Sr: Wm. Ashurst< no role > & Sr. Thomas Abney< no role > , Those Two were
againe put in Nominacon, and the Elecon by Majority of Hands
fell on the sd: sr: Thomas Abney< no role > .

Whereupon it is ordered that Mr. Trear Mr. Maine Mr. Cole
[..] Mr: Francis Moult< no role > Majr. Cook, Mr. Baker & Mr. Corbett be a Comittee to
waite on the said Sr . Thomas Abney< no role > and Accquaint Cum therewith
and desire he would please to Accept the sd place of President of
this Hosptl:
