The Hospital tenant of Clay Tye Farm (Mr. Wright) has
acquainted the Governors that in making a fence you
exceed in making the ditch Oath in depth & breadth to
the prejudice of the Hospital and & that you threaten
to take down some Young trees which are not in
your way if you keep within proper bounds
As you are tenant to a very worthy Gentleman
Mr. Serjt, Baynes for whom the Governors have a
Singular respect I am directed to mention this
Matter to you in the middest manner and desire
you to desist proceeding, and if there any doubt
concerning the right between you & the hospital
tenant if you'l inform Mr. Serjeant of the truth
of the Case I'll attend him & am Sure he and
the Hospital will easily adjust any difference

By Letter of 2d. Febr last you promised to send some rent very soon &
what more you could possibly get up before Lady day next with which the
Governors were acquainted And as I have not heard form you ever Since
I am Order'd by them to let you know that the Accompt of the Hospital
is yearly Audited at Lady day and that the Auditors will be greatly offended
to see that any of their Tenants are permitted to be 4. Years & ½ in arrear
And therefore it is expected you will lessen that great arrear very Speedily
